JOHN MEULLER (Webmaster Analyst from Google):

I had a site that had this block removed, and the rankings have not changed after two months.”So I guess what would most likely happen in a case like this is that we’d start indexing the images and start showing those in Image Search. And in general, for images, it’s something that takes quite a bit longer than a normal webpage. So that’s not something where you’d see an immediate jump in traffic from Image Search, because it just takes longer for us to process those images and bring them up in Image Search. So that’s something from the Image Search side that might be happening there. With regards to web search, in general, this wouldn’t have a big impact on the way we handle web search, unless the JavaScript was actively pulling in content that we couldn’t find without the JavaScript. So if the JavaScript was really creating the content then you’d probably see a change fairly quickly,as soon as we can pick up that content from rendering those pages.
