Any advice on how to use a trifling on mobile sub domain?

Any advice on how to use a trifling on mobile sub domain? using canonical links pointing to the desktop domain is it enough to mention the hreflang links on desktop and included rel alternate?

So at the moment for desktop indexing that’s that’s the right way to do it you have the a trifling links on the canonical and between the Canonical’s with the mobile first indexing change we’re looking into what the easiest the approach is to to do there so ideally from my point of view we be able to just reuse the same a trifling links on the mobile-friendly pages but I need to make sure that this is actually something that would work well within our our indexing system so we’ll get back to you on that for the mobile first changes.
