I think for the most part those two are correct in the sense that we try to separate our algorithms as much as possible so that we could focus on individual aspects rather than having algorithms take into account a bit of this, a bit of that. Another algorithm takes into account the same two items and mixes them up slightly differently. So ideally, we try to keep our algorithms a bit distinct. So just because you have maybe links from weird websites doesn’t necessarily mean that the quality of your website is in any way different because of those links.
