Does the fact that my page links to a page on a different domain that’s really relevant and ranks above my page so it seems that topics on both pages make my page more or less relevant to that topic

From Google’s point of view it doesn’t really change how relevant your pages on that topic so just because you’re linking to a good page doesn’t automatically make your page a good page as well so that’s something to to kind of keep in mind they’re obviously for users if you’re linking to a really good page and that’s useful information for users and that could make your page look better for for them there but from a search point of view just because you’re linking to another page don’t necessarily make your page better.
