I have a special Search Console account to submit only sitemaps connected to the hosted location. Is that okay?

I’m using a third party tool which generates and submits my sitemaps to Google. For example, something/sitemap is empty and instead Google is pinged with the address somehost@sitemaps/sitemaps.xml. In Search Console, the property site.comI have no sitemap submitted, but the sitemap is indexed by Google.

JOHN MEULLER (Webmaster Analyst from Google):

Yes. That essentially works. If you have one account where both of these sites are verified, then you can do cross submission of sitemaps where you essentially submit the URLs from one site on the host of another site. Sometimes that happens where people have a special server that generates the sitemap files based on those CMS, or the content delivery network where they want to place a sitemap file. All of these are legitimate setups and we, essentially, support them all. A question about how Google is crawling pages.
