In search analytics, getting so many search queries that are not provided. Any solution?
JOHN MEULLER (Webmaster Analyst from Google):
I guess in Google Analytics, not in search analytics. So in Google Analytics by default uses the referrer information that’s passed from the website from search. And by default, we strip the query from there. So there is still maybe some control groups that are seeing the query being passed to analytics. But for the most part, we strip the query there, and Google Analytics shows this as not provided. And from our point of view, that’s working as intended. That’s the way that it should be. If you need to have more information on the queries that are used to reach your website or that show your website in search, then I’d recommend looking at Search Analytics within Search Console, or kind of connecting your Search Console account with your Google Analytics account so that you have this, I believe they call it, the SEO view in analytics as well where you also see the search queries. And those search queries are the same that we would show in Search Console as well.
