Keywords being in the heading tag or in simple content doesn’t make any difference to search engine?
JOHN MEULLER (Webmaster Analyst from Google):
Well, obviously having some information what the sections of the page are about with the keywords, for example, that helps us. So it’s not the case that you would want to just put an image in the heading and not tell us anything about what the section is about. On the other hand, just stuffing keywords in a heading doesn’t really help that much either. Or marking up the whole page and saying the whole page is actually one big h1 tag and assuming that Google give this page more weight, that’s not going to happen. These are things that everyone has tried out, probably.
